Week 5 Legislative Update
The majority of the discussion at the state house has revolved around education thus many of our priorities have been put on the back burner. Our sense is that once the education discussion is finished, the next priority will property tax reform. There has been some buzz relating to the gas tax, however, no bills have surfaced at this point. The Cooperative Legislative Dinner and Day on the Hill (in conjunction with Board Presidents and the Managers Association Meetings) are fast approaching. The timing of the Cooperative Day on the Hill is ideal as the first major deadline for pending bills is fast approaching. So, if you are attending Board Presidents or the Managers Association meeting, please plan to join us on the Hill on Thursday morning.
